Bajaj Auto Ltd has revealed the sales figures for the month February 2009. The company has achieved sales of 131785 motorcycles in February 2009 compared to 158662 in February 2008 means there is a uplift of 17% sales growth in the Indian market last month.

In its first month of sales the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si sold 20,668 units, making it the 2nd largest brand in the 125cc++ motorcycles segment after the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i.

In this 125cc+ motorcycle segment Bajaj sold 80,164 units comprising the Platina 125 DTS-Si, the Discover 135 DTS-i, the XCD 135 DTS-Si, the Avenger DTS-i, and the Pulsar DTS-i, thereby continuing its leadership therein with approximately 40% market share.

To further strengthen its leadership in the 125cc+ motorcycle segment, Bajaj will launch 4 product upgrades in April’09.
