General Motors Will Launch Cruze In Uk This July & Also Launch In India Soon

General Motors has given the price tag for the Chevrolet Cruze in the UK, which will start at £11,545 (Rs 8.25 lakh) for the base model and stretch up to £13,595 (Rs 9.70 Lakh) for the top end variant. The car is accounted to be retailed in July this year. The Chevrolet Cruze is also expected to be launched in India within next few months and we expect prices to range from Rs 10-12 Lakhs.
In India, the Chevrolet Cruze will be offered with two engine options – a 140bhp, 1.8-litre petrol and a 125bhp, 2.0-litre common-rail diesel. Both are likely to be fitted with a five-speed manual transmission, with an automatic gearbox being on the options list.
With the Cruze, GMI will take on cars like the Toyota Corolla Altis, Honda Civic and Skoda Laura. And with its avant-garde styling, superlative interiors and host of electronic gizmos, the Cruze should be well up to the task of taking on competition from Japan and Germany.
