Audi India, the German luxury carmaker is planning to celebrate its centennial year in a befitting way by launching over seven models, including Hybrid and ‘Zero emission’ diesel vehicles, in the next two year. And industry sources say that some of these could hit the Indian roads in future.
Audi Corporate Strategist Josef Schoen informed that Audi plans to double its worldwide product range to over 40 by 2015 to celebrate its 100 years of existence. Some of the models that Audi is planning to introduce in the market by 2010 include A1, A4 Allroad, A5 SB, A7, R8 Spider and one SUV. It would also roll out Q5 in the Chinese markets in this period.
The company would consider bringing in some of these models to India in future, the homologation of which would be carried out in due course of time. But before that Schoen added, every model will be checked if it fits to Indian customers’ needs and preferences.
A company spokesperson informed that currently the company is focussing on Q5 for India, which will be launched in June this year.
