Honda Siel Cars India, leading manufacturer of premium cars in India today announced the launch of its flagship model in India - the Honda Accord V6. Accord V6 is powered by an expanded range of innovative technologies designed for more power and performance making it the most powerful car from the Honda stable in India.

From a pure performance standpoint, the Accord’s V6 3.5-liter i-VTEC engine with 275 PS makes it the most powerful Accord ever built and provides driving performance at par with luxury vehicles from higher segments.

V6 3.5-liter i-VTEC engine features an advanced Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system that switches between six-, four-, and three-cylinder combustion depending on the driving conditions and thereby delivering maximum power of 275 PS during six cylinder operation and impressive fuel economy in VCM mode while cruising. The discreet Economy (ECO) Light on the dashboard indicates that the car is operating in the range of best fuel economy for the current driving condition. To achieve the same quietness and smoothness, as when running on all six cylinders, new Active Control Engine Mounts (ACM) and Active Noise Control (ANC) systems have been designed to complement the VCM technology.

The engine also delivers outstanding environmental performance and meets Euro-IV emission levels and is E-10 (10% ethanol and 90% unleaded petrol) compatible.

Accord V6 comes with 5-speed Automatic transmission with Paddle shift, which provides the convenience of an automatic with enhanced driving pleasure of a manual. The AT has Shift Holding System which avoids unnecessary gear shifting on winding roads and helps in hassle free drive.

Honda Accord V6 is equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) which is designed to assist the driver in maintaining control during cornering, acceleration and sudden maneuvers by applying braking to the right or left hand wheels as necessary and modulating the engine torque output as required.

Just as the Honda Accord 2.4 launched in May’08, the Honda Accord V6 comes with full range of safety equipment including ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, intelligent Six Airbags, Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) on front passenger seat, Honda’s original Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body, front seat Active Headrests and Pedestrian-Protection design features. The Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering enables the car to have best in class handling despite the big size. The interiors of the car boasts of advanced functionality including eight-way power seat adjustment with lumbar support, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, an advanced audio system with a centre multi–selector and USB port. The rear seat comfort has been ensured for the occupants at the backseat with rear audio controls, rear AC vents and reading lights at the rear.
