Fiat Testing Linea With 1.6-Litre Diesel Engine

Fiat LineaFiat India will be launching the mighty diesel Linea in India in the coming months which will seek an opportunity for Fiat to raise its bar. According to Cubiccapacity, Fiat is testing a 1.6-Litre Turbodiesel Common Rail engine in the engine bay of the Linea. The all new 1.6-Litre, 4 Cylinder 16 Valve engine is a very high tech unit which comes along with Linea in two variants, a turbocharged 105 Bhp unit and 120 Bhp units with VGT and more than 300 Nm of torque.

Fiat’s new diesel engine is very low in maintenance too with the service manual of 35000 Kms in Europe. The fuel efficiency is also said to be equal or better than 1.3 JTD already present in the Linea.

Fiat India has to take a step further to bring the new heart which strikes all rivals as a stand-alone warrior. It is Fiat’s Call, what you say?
