Skoda Launched Superb Diesel & V6 4X4 Today In India. As we said earlier, Skoda India is ready to launch a diesel version of its New Superb later this year, followed by the new Laura. The company has confirmed that it would manufacture its diesel variants from its Chakan plant in Aurangabad with other upcoming models like Facelifted Octavia, Crossover Yeti, Roomster MPV and Fabia estate.

The Diesel Superb will equipped with a 1.8-Litre-TSI engine, a turbo petrol in the Superb whose fuel economy is almost on par with any highly efficient diesel engine, now says that its New diesel engine (2 Litre-TDI diesel engine) will be the most fuel efficient engine in its class. Soon, a 3.2-Litre V6 260 HP petrol engine is also likely to be on offer.

So far, Skoda India has managed to sell 300 units of the new petrol-driven Superb, which costs Rs. 18.88 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company expects to sell more than 1,000 units of the Superb by year end.
