Mahindra & Mahindra Sales Up By 14.85 Percent In April

Mahindra & Mahindra revealed its domestic sales figures for April 2009. The company has posted a tremendous 36 percent growth in April 2009.
M&M saw sales of 18447 units in April 2009 compared to 13560 units sold in April 2008, riding on its UV portfolio that includes the Mahindra Scorpio, Bolero & the Xylo.
The Mahindra lead the pack with sales of 3509 units in April 2009 from the date it was launched in January 2009.
The company sales a good increase in April 2009 including both domestic and export sales raising a total of 23004 vehicles compared to vehicles sold in April 2008.
Mahindra & Mahindra has already received a 15000 booking forms for Mahindra Xylo, since February 2009.
Vivek Nayer, senior vice-president (marketing-automotive sector) of M&M, said “that the company is looking at month-to-month performance”.
He was quoted as saying that in 2008-09, “M&M has garnered 57 per cent of the total UV market share in the domestic market compared to 51 percent in 2007-2008″.
The company is already retailing Mahindra Xylo in Nepal, Bhutan & in South Africa due to the luxurious comfort at a most affordable price.
