Skoda is currently offering Fabia as the cheapest car in its stable in the Indian market and planning to reveal a new small car for Indian that could be priced at around Rs 3 lakh. The small car from Skoda would be a direct rival with Maruti Suzuki Alto which is currently the largest selling car in the Indian Market.
This is the segment of the market which generates the maximum sales in India. Skoda needs to have a presence in this segment to become a bigger player in this market.
GM India has Spark while Hyundai offers their Santro. Tata Indica is another model in this price range.
