Rolls Royce might launch the Ghost model in India by the end of 2009 or early 2010. The Ghost will be built using the same materials and same high manufacturing standards as those of the Phantom.
The new Ghost will deliver matchless riding dynamics by using latest developments in chassis engineering and it will be matted with high tech air suspension system and multi-link aluminum front and rear axles to make sure that the car has the legendary “Magic Carpet” ride quality.

The car’s on-board computer system reads multiple inputs from sensors around the car – the dampers alone making individual load calculations every 2.5 milliseconds. This ensures not only perfect comfort but also precise steering and dynamics for the driver. The air suspension system also incorporates a lift and kneel function, raising or lowering the Ghost by 25mm. This can either assist with entry and exit or allow the Ghost to travel over uneven ground.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost, which will be fitted with a 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 engine, will be built on its own dedicated production line at Goodwood and will share paint, wood and leather workshops with the Phantom series of cars. ‘The Ghost will be as refined and as cosseting as anything that this marquee has ever produced. But it will have a dynamic vitality afforded to it due to the latest technology and engineering techniques,’ says Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO, Tom Purves.
The Rolls Royce Ghost might be priced between Rs 2-2.5 Crore in India.
