Volvo S60 To Be Launched In India By 2010 End

Volvo cars India has announced that they would launc the S60 in India. Volvo has plans to introduce the S60 by the end of 2010 and it was phased out last year in western markets and might be reintroduced in Europe in 2010.
Volvo will bring the S60 as a CBU similar to XC90 and S80.
“We will be launching the S60 in the Indian market after it is rolled out in Europe in the middle of next year. We hope to have it in India before the end of 2010,” said Paul de Voijs is the Managing Director of Volvo Cars India.
Volvo dont have any plans to assemble their cars in India until they reach a volume of 3000 units. They also plan to increase to twelve dealearships.
At the same time BMW, Mercedes and Audi assembles cars in India. Volvo which sold 100 untis in 2008 looks for more volume for costructing a plant in India.
