Hyundai has kept the exterior at the same shape as we have already seen the concept model earlier this year. The new Tucson/ix35 is currently in the final stage of testing, but the company promises its official public revealing at the September’s Frankfurt Auto Show.

Hyundai might sport with a 2.0-L diesel engine with 184HP and 1.6-L direct injected gasoline engine which generates 140+ HP. It will also be available with larger, 2.4-L Theta gasoline engine, while gas guzzling v6 will be axed from the engine range.

Hyundai for the first time will equip with an all new Hyundai’s six-speed automatic gearbox, which helps to improve performance and fuel economy. According to the latest reports, the new Tucson will also get an eco-friendly start-stop technology.

Once the next-gen Tucson/ix35 unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show its sales will be followed after its inaugural launch. The new Tucson will be on sale in South Korea later this year and will reach North American and European markets early next year.
