Maruti To Expand Manesar Manufacturing Facility

Maruti Suzuki is currently focusing to expand its vehicle production at its Manesar manufacturing facility with targeting 200K units in the next two years.
The company is currently producing 300K units including Swift, A-Star and the Ritz and the company has doubled the shifts that can manufacture 500K units at Rs 1500 Crore is the cost for installing a units with this production capacity.
The main reason to close the Plant-1 located at Gurgaon factory that has an annual production of 160K units. Among the three plants located in this factory, Maruti 800, Wagon r, Omni and the Versa, K-series engines are produced. The net amount of vehicles produced at this factory will be 700000 units.
The factory is 40 years old to efficiently utilize the space the company will bring engine assembling, machining and other works. The company currently does an annual production of 1 Million cars and the company is looking forward for the increase capacity of 1.2 Million cars.
