Volkswagen Polo Will Be Launched In 2010

Volkswagen, German car manufactured that reconfirmed that it will launch the Polo hatchback in India in 2010 that will directly compete with Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia, Honda Jazz, Fiat Grande Punto and Ford Figo.
Volkswagen Polo hatchback will be launched in both engine mills including Petrol and diesel options and the company might get an automatic version if necessary.
Volkswagen Polo will be manufactured locally on its VW’s plant near Pune and up to 80% parts will be localized that will help to price the car competitively and could presence for a longer run in the Indian market.
Volkswagen India is also pushing its dealership numbers from 22 to 40 by early next year to boost their presence and create brand awareness.
Volkswagen that launched Jetta and Passat sedans in India and pleased to the Indian buyers that sold around 1500 units in the year 2008 and 1900 already sold this year from January - August and the company is expecting 3000 units to be on the sales book by the end of the year.
The company said in a statement: “We have heavily invested in the plant at Pune and right now, the pre-production stage is going on and we should launch Polo by next year.”
