Audi To Assemble Cars In India To Reduce Cost

Audi India is currently planning to assemble its cars in India to reduce the cost of its cars that includes the 110% high import taxes that is being levied by the government.
Audi is also planning to launch more dealerships within the country to 18 within 2011 from its present 12. This scheme becomes effective with the present models like A4 and A6 sedans at the Aurangabad plant while Q5 follow the suit in 2011.
The company claims that depend upon the demand we will build them locally. The company did a fabulous job after it received a tremendous response for its recently launched Q7 that sold 100 units in the September alone.
Audi India has already invested around Rs. 210 crores in Indian business and has allotted three more dealers in Coimbatore, Nagpur and Jaipur for 2010.
Audi has claimed that every New Year the country will receive a new model.
