Royal Enfield Projects 15% Increase In Sales

The oldest motorcycle company in the world has launched Bullet variant Classic 500 & 350 very recently in India. The company is eyeing a 15% increase in the annual sales and it has projected sales of 50,000 units. The company is also planning to double the capacity of the Chennai plant from 50K to 100K units by 2013.
Mr. R.L. Ravichandran, the Chief executive officer said “We will add a production capacity of about 10,000 units in 2010 and by 2013 we aim to reach annual production of one lakh units,”
Who will not enjoy a long ride on a Royal Enfield bullet?? There is always demand for Royal Enfield bullets and on an average it will take 15 – 20 days for the delivery of the heavy machine from the date of order. The company is expecting an increase of sales in IT professionals sector. The company is also expecting a 5% increase on export.
