We’ve already heard of Tata’s plans on procuring local components to facilitate production of around 200 “Tata Nano” units a day. They intend on delivering 70 to 80,000 cars from the Sanand plant in the 2010 to 2011 financial year.
The company which is currently under Test Production is to deliver 200 units per day according to the dealers. The currently used Pantnagar plant assembles almost 200 cars a day and the engines are put together at Pune. The production at this plant will continue even after the Sanand plant gets into full swing.
