Bajaj Auto has hinted it will raise price of its model by January 2010 due to rising input costs.
Bajaj launches the Pulsar LS in Hyderabad, Milind Bade, general manager of Bajaj Auto Ltd. said, “Manufacturers will have to take a call sooner rather than later. There are ways to address growing costs, including improving internal efficiencies and cutting cost through vendors. Most of these have been already exhausted and we may see some price hikes soon”.
Bajaj has already unleashed that the company is currently working on a beast for the Indian roads that will carry a engine capacity of 400 - 500cc liquid cooled engine DTSi and is expected to be priced at least Rs 1 lakh.
Bajaj is aiming to sell 1 million Bajaj Pulsars a year in 2010, up from about 45000 units a month.
