[2010 Delhi Auto Expo]: Maruti Suzuki today launches the new Eeco MPV in India at the Delhi Auto Expo.

Maruti Suzuki has shocked everyone including us on pricing it from Rs 2.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Maruti has kept its design and requirement particularly for Indian mind set.

“Maruti Suzuki engineers have specially developed the Eeco, its new powerful engine and a new transmission system to meet the diverse consumer aspirations that look for a vehicle that fit a large family and at the same time provides flexibility for dual use.” said by Shinzo Nakanishi, CEO and MD of Maruti Suzuki India.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco is an “A Big Car” with space and comfort that complies BS-IV complaint, superior drivability and functionality.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco has been developed in-house 1200cc petrol engine that generates 73bhp with 5 and 7 seater options. It has the first-time ever DSA transmission Roomy interiors, Petrol Fuel efficiency 15.1 kmpl, Sliding doors add to ease entry and exit, Beige and grey dual-tone interiors, It offers Air-conditioning High ground clearance and ELV compliant.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco 1.2-L engine that generates 73bhp @ 6000rpm and 101Nm torque @ 3000rpm that specially meets the Indian driving conditions.

Maruti Suzuki is aiming to sell 40000 units of Eeco annually at the Initial stage.
