Goodyear develops automatic tyre inflate technology

As we have all seen James Bond movie that tyres automatically inflate now it’s time to see that in real action on your cars too.

Goodyear have developed a new technology that will enable the tires automatically inflate on its own which will maintain to appropriate air pressure.

Mr. Jean-Claude Kihn, Chief Technical Officer, Goodyear, said, “A tire that can maintain its own inflation is something drivers have wanted for many years. This will become the kind of technological breakthrough that people will wonder how they ever lived without.”

Goodyear has named this technology as Air Maintenance Technology – AMT which will maintain air pressure in your car’s tires!

How does it work?

Goodyear AMT tires will work with the help of a mini air pump that will be installed inside the tire. Once the tire pressure falls below an unacceptable level, the mini air pump will automatically pump the tire pressure to keep the air pressure at par. The pump is powered by the rotational energy of the wheel.

Goodyear has not revealed any details about the launch of these AMT tires in the market.
