MRF to produce Tyres for Audi and BMW

MRF Tyres is planning to produce a new range of premium car tyres that will suit the luxury brands including Audi and BMW vehicles in India. At the moment, their tyres are wrapped over on 35 models in India and international vehicles.

The new tyres will be out with new technology that would use a polymer compound with stable ring constructions that will enable the car with more stability and optimum safety while driving at high speed.

Mr. Koshy K Varghese, Executive Vice President – Marketing at MRF Tyres said “that these tyres would appeal to customers who are looking out for both safety and strength”.

MRF Tyres is currently setting up a new plant in Tamil Nadu and investing Rs 800-crores. At the moment, the company is trying very hard to bring down the cost and looking to acquire rubber companies or rubber plantations overseas.

Koshy said that “they have not yet finalized any plans but are still on the lookout for such tie-ups”.
