GM to Hike Prices by 1 to 2%; Chevrolet Beat Diesel to Cost Rs 15000 More

Price hike again and now we are reporting on General Motors increasing their prices by 1-2% by Januaryn2012 due to the weakening rupee.

If you are on your way to get hold of a new Chevrolet Beat Diesel make a note the company has already increased the price of the Chevrolet Beat Diesel by Rs 15,000/-

So what is GM India Vice President P Balendran’s thought on the increase in the Chevrolet Beat Price. He said, “In case of Beat diesel, we had an introductory price. Due to the current currency fluctuations and rising commodity prices, we have no option but pass it on to consumers.”

The rest of the horses from GM’s stable in India (Spark, UVA, Aveo, Optra, Cruze, Tavera and Captiva) is said to have a price hike of 1-2% effective January 2012.
