The Much awaited Mini Brand has been finally launched at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The Mini brand is owned by the BMW group. The buzz around the Mini Pavilion in the Auto Expo is something one has to witness to believe it. We take a quick look what the Mini Brand has in store for us in India.
Mini launched four models for the Indian asphalt. The iconic standard Mini Cooper at Rs. 24.9 Lakh, the Cooper S at Rs. 27.9 Lakh, Cooper Convertible at Rs. 29.99 Lakh and lastly the Countryman crossover at Rs. 31.99 Lakh. The BMW group has made their plans clear for the Mini Brand. The company has confirmed the Mini Brand will be sold via a completely different dealership network and three dealerships have already been finalized. Deutsche Motoren and Bird Automotive in New Delhi and Infinity Cars in Mumbai.
The Iconic Mini Cooper hatchback starts the game for the Mini Brand in India. It will retail at 24.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Don’t expect the Mini Cooper Hatchback to come cheap. The Mini Cooper Hatchback will enter India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU). The Mini Cooper Hatchback has great retro touch in it. A quick at the 2012 Mini Cooper Hatchback we noticed large circular dials for the speedometer and tachometer. The Mini Cooper Hatchback can ideally seat four; however a two occupant drive in the three-door body style will sure bring about more comfort. The big question most car enthusiasts had on their mind was the engine specifications for India.
