KTM Duke 200 Launched

KTM Duke 200 launched in India today and we were the only one would who provided you with all the information as in when it happened. KTM made its first official entry in India with the launch of 200 Duke.

KTM Duke 200 is powered by a single cylinder, 200cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, 4-Valve engine that generates 25bhp of peak power and a maximum torque of 19Nm. The Duke 200 has the best-in-class power to weight ratio of 184 Ps/ton. The 200 Duke also features first in class features such as a Trellis Frame, Upside Down forks by European specialists WP, an aluminium swing arm, a multifunction cockpit and many more.

KTM Duke 200 will be retailed through 34 dedicated KTM stores in India along with KTM’s famous range of Accessories and Merchandise called KTM PowerWear and KTM PowerParts. The Duke 200 is priced at Rs 1,17,500 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

KTM Duke 200 official bookings will start on 1st February, 2012 and the deliveries should begin by mid-Feb. KTM Stores will retail both Duke (Motorcycles and Accessories) and the Kawasaki Ninja bikes which will be retailed and serviced. This will also follow for all future motorcycles launched under KTM brand. Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycles will not be sold at the Probiking showroom as it will soon fade away to become KTM Stores.

KTM Duke 200 is localised at around 95% and the service parts should be reasonable priced. The Duke 200 will only be available in Orange colour scheme and will be exported to other markets starting from Latin American countries.

Apart from the KTM Duke 200 launch, KTM will also offer a range of accessories through the KTM Stores for the Duke 200 including caps, riding gear, performance parts including larger sprockets and Akrapovic exhaust mufflers.

The KTM Duke 200 can be booked with an amount of Rs 30000 and will be served on first come first service basis. Apart from this, the official booking will start on Feb 1st, 2012 but unofficially, the KTM Stores are already accepting booking for the KTM Duke 200. Once booked, if are one among the first batch who booked it, then you will get you motorcycles quickly maybe within a couple of weeks after booking.

KTM Duke 200 will have 3 months or 90 days waiting period to move on the safer direction and this number will be reduced as the production number increases in phases. If you have a KTM store nearby, then visit them during the weekend or early next to get a glance of the KTM Duke 200 by yourself to get a feel about the Orange scheme Duke.
