General Motors had unveiled the Chevrolet Sail Hatchback at 11th Auto Expo which took place in Delhi last month. The Chevrolet Sail is GMs answer to replace the ageing Aveo. We were really interested on GM bringing done the Chevrolet Sonic; however that for the moment is not even in the discussion. The Chevrolet Sail plays a vital role in the SAIC portfolio and the company strongly believes the Sail will fit the Indian conditions perfectly. This time around we take a quick look at what the Chevrolet Sail Sedan has to offer. First the safety features which are offered in the Chevrolet Sail. One of the main points when it comes to safety is the NCAP ratings. Chevrolet Sail managed to get 4 star rating in the C-NCAP rating a similar body and rating system to the Euro NCAP rating. Some of the main features from the safety front are Child safety locks which come as a standard fitment, retractable steering column which helps for better movement of the driver inside the vehicle and common safety features which commonly found on modern day cars such as ABS with EBD, Dual air bags in front. The Chevrolet Sedan Sail will be powered by the popular Fiat 1.3 liter Multijet engine. The Chevrolet Sail will be slotted against Ford’s Fiesta and Toyota’s Etios.
