Maruti Ertiga MPV was speculated to be launched in India on April 11 and now the date has been confirmed on April 12, 2012. The information was provided by Siddharth Vinayak Patankar (SVP) from NDTV Car&Bike Show. Still there is no official confirmation from Maruti Suzuki that what will it be its price in India. What we know from SVP is the vehicle will be offered in 6 variants including 3 petrol and 3 diesel engines. SVP has shared two pictures of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga on the CnB Facebook wall.
Maruti Ertiga was first unveiled at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo and the new MPV from Maruti Suzuki will get a new 1.4-litre K Series petrol engine that generates 93 BHP of power and 130 Nm of torque and return a mileage of 16.02 KMPL as per ARAI certified mileage.
Apart from the petrol, the Maruti Ertiga diesel variant will carry the same 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine from Fiat that generates 88 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque and delivers a mileage figure fo 20.77 KMPL as per ARAI certified mileage.
What we believe is the Ertiga will be marginally priced higher than the top-end version of Maruti Suzuki DZire in India, does that sound good?
Thank you Siddharth!
