General Motors has announced that the company is looking at a sales growth of 8-10% in India for 2012. The company had recently launched the Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 BS IV MPV model. Click here to read more. The company is looking at the Cheverolet Tavera, Beat and spark to make a chunk of contribution with regards to sales. The next big episode from General Motors for India is the launch of the facelifted Chevrolet Captiva. For the moment we feel General motors has gone about their business in a reasonably good manner in India. The company till date has managed to sell around 2.25 lakh units in India. GM in India currently has two production plants one at Halol, near Bangalore, and another at Gurgaon in Haryana. Put together the production capacity is four lakh units per annum. It is to be seen whether GM india reaches the proposed sales target? Would we see an increase in production from their end once these numbers are reached?
