A funky yet regal, Estoril Blue F32, the fourth series BMW was displayed at the ongoing ‘Goodwood Fest of Speed’. The version showcased at the fiesta is the sensational 435i, all completed with the M Sport Body kit. This new series from BMW will be ready for sale later this year and would work as a replacement for the third series two-door body segment cars.
A swift comparison between the Concept and the production specifications of the 4 series car reveals that a majority of the design parts has been kept as it is. However, the major variance between the two is clearly visible at the rear end. The production variant took off the grills from the two exhausts to give the car a cleaner and broader bumper. Admiringly, the upswept angry tail lights have not been disturbed.
The 4th series of BMW is a measure taken up by the company to fill in all the gaps left by the brand in its present chain of cars. It now provides the car fanatics with new body versions of its existing car ranges with additional features at a great price. The new terminology has been coined in such a manner that all the 4 door sedan models get an odd number name of the series. The versions like the Gran Coupe, Coupe and Cabriolet have been numbered even.
The car will be available for sale in two petrol versions- the 428i and the 435i. The entry level model of 428i comes compacted with a 2.0l turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. At the same time, the BMW 435i M features yet more powerful and sturdy turbo with six cylinder motor. The only diesel version has been named as 420d. The other variant of the company namely the M4 coupe of 450bhp will be showcased next year.
The M Sport Package from BMW sports is an aero kit that encloses sportier bumper and more chic looks with sports line alloy wheels. The insides hold a different style of upholstery and faux aluminium inserts are smartly designed on the dashboard.
