For the second continuing year, the HMSI (Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Private Ltd.) took part in the Asia Dream Cup – the racing championship that concluded a day before. The Honda Asia Dream Cup championship came to pass in Chennai from the 12th of July to the 14th of July with a participation of 18 distinguished riders from 9 nations.
The Honda Asia Dream Cup racing comprised of six rounds which were conducted in India, Japan, Malaysia, Qatar and Indonesia. The third of the 6 rounds took place in Chennai (India). Hero Motorcycle and Scooter India sponsored two India bike riders; Mr. Prabhu Arunagiri and Mr. Sumit Locus Toppo.
In the year 2012, the Japanese manufacturer, Honda Motor commenced the Motorcycle Racing Championship – Honda Asia Dream Cup for the promotion of bike riders and development of riding skills. The model used in the Asia Dream Cup is Honda 250R which is analogous in capacity and performance to the Moto 3 class in MotoGP.
The amazingly new Honda CBR 250R offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to the riders to get their very first rendezvous with the full-frame racing that contracts the knowledge curve thereby allowing the riders to become perfect in the Moto3 segment. Renowned riders with top-notch credentials such as Makoto Tamada and Tomoyoshi Koyama, the MotoGP riders took part in the ride.
During the event, Honda displayed its newly launched 2013 CBR 250R edition for the very first time on the 14th of July in Chennai. The CBR 250R, 2013 edition is available in 4 vibrant colours: Repsol (limited edition), Pearl Sunbeam, Sports Red and Black.
The Repsol colour of CBR 250R gets the victorious racing feeling to the bike riders somewhat similar to the RC 213V while riding on the Indian roads. Now the riders in Indian will experience riding the bike of their wildest fantasies in reality. They will have something much similar with Repsol MotoGP celebs namely Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa
Till now, Honda has involved more than 4938 riders via fun, gymkhana and secure riding activities. Such type of activities and events give the riders an occasion to learn more about safe and secure riding instructions.
Participants and audiences enjoy activities which aim to enhance the balancing activities of the riders. With the CRF – model from Honda, even the kids get a good hang of safety riding. The bike has been specifically designed to give young kids a good and secure bike riding experience.
HMSI has established a new trademark in the promotion of road safety in India. It has adopted the Jaipur’s Traffic Education Park by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rajasthan State Government. In the coming time, HMSI will be adopting further traffic training parks in few of the other Indian states too.
In the second year of the Dream Asia Cup, HMSI is very happy hosting the event in Chennai. The event was organised to boost the riding skills of the buyers and offer them a platform to display their talent globally. With CBR 250R in the Championship, the brand will further promote its legacy globally, by offering an enhanced Motorsports experience to the skilled bike riders.
