Bajaj is perhaps the most widely known bike manufacturing company in the Indian market. The company has steady reputation from bringing some of the best vehicles in the two-wheeler segment. They have good following and popularity in the country. News is that Bajaj has unveiled two new top-range version motorcycles at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014. These bikes belong to the Pulsar series and have been named Pulsar 400 SS and Pulsar 400 CS and both of them are going to be quite the bikes.
Bajaj Pulsar 400 SS and Bajaj Pulsar 400 CS motorcycles will be equipped with 4-stroke, 375cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine. This motor has been derived from the one present in KTM 390 Duke. The two new Pulsar bikes also feature 6-speed gearbox. The Bajaj Pulsar 400 CS will feature inverted telescopic suspension at the front while the Bajaj Pulsar 400 SS will come with telescopic suspension along with rear monoshock. Both bikes will receive disc brake at front and rear coupled with ABS.
Pulsar 400 CS gets new headlamp and features digital gauges. It has a gear indicator on the tank. The chief and sole difference between the two motorcycles is that the street bike will have new version of MRF Revz tyres while faired bike will feature Metzeler tyres. We are hoping that the new sporty Bajaj Pulsar 400 SS and 400 CS will prove to be stylish yet good value for money bikes. Expect both of them to be priced below Rs 2 lakhs.
Everyone was expecting a faired version of their Pulsar 200 NS bike but with these two launches the company has certainly exceeded our expectations and that of many prospective customers. With their aggressive designs and a good brand name, the Bajaj Pulsar 400 CS and 400 SS are likely to be received well in the market. We hope that the two sports bikes get to see good sales. The Pulsar name has forever meant affordable sport biking in the Indian scenario and Bajaj is all set to raise the bar with these two bikes. Stay tuned for all the updates about the Auto Expo 2014.
