Auto Expo 2014: TVS Star City+ hits the launchpad

TVS has always been a popular name in the two wheeler arena in the country. It has been manufacturing some of the best bikes and scooters in the Indian market and has immense reputation for offering quality product. The company has great plans for the Auto Expo event. TVS will be presenting and launching its latest products.  We have heard that TVS has introduced its Star City+ updated version at the event. The TVS Star City+ is a commuter bike that provides a range of exciting features including improved

controls and switches, improved and more comfortable seats, digital speedometer, aluminum grab rail set and a hi-intensity headlamp. This motorcycle has been equipped with a 4-stroke 110cc engine that can produce a power output of 8.18 HP and a torque of 8.1 Nm. The bike also comes with a 4-speed gearbox. The detailed specifications of the TVS Star City+ have not been disclosed by the company, yet. Though, they are likely to be same as the original version but we will have to wait and watch just to be sure. The bike is expected to perform well in the market.

The other TVS products that were displayed at its Pavilion at the Auto Expo included Scooty Zest. This scooter features an upgraded engine and fresh styling. The TVS Scooty Zest has not been launched yet but it expected to be available for sale around April 2014. This two-wheeler will enter the market to compete against Honda Dio and Honda Activa.

 TVS is planning to launching the Star City+ in the Indian market in the coming three or four months. TVS’s Star City brand has been immensely popular in the country. The company has revealed that the brand has a consumer base of over 4 million customers. We hope that the TVS Star City+ will live up to the reputation and get to see good sales.

The 100-110cc commuter segment in India is the most popular two wheeler segment in India and brings in maximum volumes globally. Every company is working towards getting a share of the same and with the new Star City, TVS might just witness a jump in sales.
