Is A Fuel Injected Variant of Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS In Works?

Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS was launched in the year 2012 and it definitely won hearts of bike enthusiasts. The 200 NS brought in a new revolution in the Indian bike industry. Undoubtedly, the 200 NS was the best Pulsar the company had ever made. But then technology keeps on advancing which led to the birth of the Pulsar RS 200 and the Pulsar AS 200. Both these motorcycles are doing pretty well in the domestic market. In fact Bajaj had to discontinue the production of the Pulsar 200 NS to increase the production of the other two bikes.

The Pulsar 200 NS Fi will be a welcome addition

The Pulsar 200 NS has its own fan following and even today this street fighter is a good motorcycle. So Bajaj is giving thought to re-launch the 200 NS in India with a Fuel injector. Well, it makes sense. The engine on the RS 200 and the AS 200 has been borrowed from the NS only. Of course, Bajaj did certain improvements to make it more refined and smooth. So, giving the Pulsar 200 NS a fuel injector is definitely a good call.

At present the Pulsar 200 NS runs on a single cylinder 199cc liquid cooled engine which churns out 23.5 PS of max power at 9500 RPM and puts out a max torque of 18.3 Nm at 8000 RPM. With the fuel injector sliding in, the new Pulsar 200 NS will make a total of 24.5 PS of power at 9750 RPM and a slightly high torque of 18.6 Nm at the same RPM. Well who doesn’t love more power, right? So, the new Pulsar NS 200 will definitely be loved by the biker community in India.

Apart from the fuel injector, most of the new Pulsar 200 NS will look the same. But it is being said that the company is planning to shift the ‘Pulsar’ logo to the top of the tank. Well, we hope that doesn’t spoil the look of the naked street fighter. We are also hoping that Bajaj would provide ABS at least as optional in the new Pulsar 200 NS, seriously.

The price of the new Pulsar 200 NS will definitely be over Rs 1 lakh. But as the Pulsar RS 200 and the Pulsar AS 200 are also priced in the same range therefore, Bajaj would definitely put on some strategy and give an aggressive price tag to the new NS. Maybe, we get to spot the new model in the Auto Expo 2016.
