It is finally time for the grand finale of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series after it received outstanding response in the last three months receiving more than 1000 entries in the four rounds of kart racing. The 5th and final round of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series will be held at the Wonder Speedway, Worlds of Wonder, Noida from 2nd to 3rd of July, 2016.
This kart racing series is aimed at strengthening and promoting JK Tyre’s idea of making karting more accessible to the young Indian drivers. Kart racing is a very widely accepted category for all sorts of circuit racing in the world. However, in India karting is yet not as popular as in other countries, although its popularity has been on the rise. JK Tyre’s philosophy of further reinforcing this motorsport and making it more accessible in India is backed by the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series,
The JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series is organized by RR Motorsports Management which began in the month of April, and it will conclude in the month of July. The karting series’ last four rounds have been taking place in several cities of the country.
The JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series is being organized in association with Tata Motors, which one of the largest car makers in India. This association with the auto major has further added fuel to the efforts of the two conglomerates for the promotion and development of motorsports in the country.
The exclusive appeal of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series is that the event features single-make 4-stroke karts that not only make sure of level playing field, but also make this kart racing series the most affordable karting series of its kind in the entire world with just over $ 20 as entry fee. This makes this karting series much more accessible to participants, which is the original motto of this event. The winners of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series will win fully sponsored drives in the JK Tyre National Rotax Max Karting Championship that is India’s only nationally recognized karting championship. The winners in the senior category of this series will get the opportunity to race with some of the leading teams in the previous JK Tyre National Racing Championships.
The JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series includes 3 categories, namely – Pro Cadet for racers in the age group of 7-12 years, Pro Junior for racers in the age group of 12-16 years and Pro Senior for racers aged 16 years and above. Apart from these three main categories, there will be 7 more categories of support races which broaden the access and appeal of this karting series. The support categories include Interschool, Women’s, Senior Amateur, Corporate and Media.
The final round of the series will also host the Grand Finales of three support categories – Amateur, Open and Interschool. The winners in each of these support categories will win a sponsored participation in the next edition of the JK Tyre IndiKarting Series in the suitable Pro categories.
