India’s second largest car maker, Hyundai will be officially launching the much anticipated all new Hyundai Elantra premium sedan in the car market of India on 22nd of August. As the new 2016 sedan model is so close to its launch, it has already started reaching the Hyundai authorized dealership outlets.
As per the latest reports and spy shots, the all new Hyundai Elantra has been spotted at the Hyundai dealership yard located in Ahmadabad. The latest spy pictures also obviously offer a very close and clear look at the new 2016 model that the Indian car buyers will be able to get their hands on real soon.
As far as the knowledge till now, the new Hyundai Elantra premium sedan will be available in the car market of India in a total of 6 models, namely SX, SX AT, SX (O) and SX (O) AT. Under the hood, the new Elantra will be equipped by a 2.0 liter Dual VTVT petrol mill and a 1.6 CRDi diesel motor choices.
The new Elantra’s petrol version will be offering a max power output of 151 bhp along with 190 Nm of top torque, the diesel motor powered models will be able to pump out a peak power output of 127 bhp and 265 Nm of max torque. Both the petrol and the diesel mills come mated to a manual as well as an automatic transmission choice. When fuel efficiency is concerned, as per the speculations the new premium sedan model would be returning 22.4 km per liter in the diesel MT version and around 14.6 km per liter in the petrol MT variants.
The all new 2016 Hyundai Elantra is a bigger and all improve car with larger dimensions, better space, stronger and lighter chassis and a further enriched features list to make this executive sedan much more appealing than the previous model. The new Elantra’s feature list has also obviously been updated by the South Korean car maker. The new sedan model’s Indian spec model is likely to offer an array of premium features such as cruise control, anti-pinch power sunroof, large 8 inch touchscreen integrated infotainment system along with Apple Car Play support, steering wheel mounted control, rear armrest, power smart boot opening among much more.
Post its Indian launch the new Hyundai Elantra will fight with Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Cruze, Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Jetta and the upcoming new Honda Civic.
