The big Indian festive season is approaching fast and in tune with that all the car majors operating in the Indian car market are working full swing to offer something special and new to boost their sales during the festive season. The festive season is the best sales season in India, and it is the best time to launch new car models. Car majors who don’t plan to bring an all new model during this time period at least launch a number of special edition and refreshed models along with special offers and discounts in order to draw maximum customer attention and boost sales. Toyota Kirloskar Motor India will probably fall in the second group of car makers mentioned above, for this year. Toyota India does not have any new car launches scheduled for this festive season. The new generation Toyota Fortuner is only expected to come to India by the end of this year or early next year. Thus, the Japanese car major has decided to bring in the refreshed versions of its Etios and Liva models to celebrate this year’s Indian festive season.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor India is going to launch the refreshed Toyota Etios compact sedan and Liva compact hatchback. Both of these updated models were introduced unveiled in car market of Brazil very recently and these are now coming to the Indian market. Toyota India has also confirmed to the media that the facelift Etios and Liva will be launched in the domestic car market just prior to the onset of the festive season this year. The Japanese auto giant is making the final preparations to officially launch the facelift models in India, so expect the cars to come real soon.
When the changes of the updated Toyota Etios and the Toyota Liva are concerned, the facelift models will be flaunting a V-shaped front grille along with black inserts and chrome accents. The cars get black front bumper which house fog lights. Both the cars’ dimensions have been retained and both of them also flaunt newly designed 15 inch alloy wheels replacing the ongoing car models’ 14 inch alloy wheels. The top of the range model of the Etios and Liva facelift which launched in Brazilian car market get premium piano black interior scheme along with touchscreen integrated infotainment system along with navigation. No mechanical updates are expected in both the facelift cars.
The mildly refreshed Toyota Etios and Liva are going to replace the ongoing models in India soon. Thus, all the Toyota dealers are currently offering good discounts on its existing models across India in order to clear existing inventory. Dealers have confirmed cash discounts of Rs. 12,500 on the Etios and Rs. 10,000 on the Liva in Delhi and Chennai, while in Mumbai the discounts are higher – Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 15,000 on both the existing Etios and Liva. These discounts although not huge in amount clearly indicates that Toyota India is in the process of clearing the current stocks before the new refreshed models hit the market.
