Hyundai Motor India will follow an accurate timeframe for full model changes, will enter new segments where it currently doesn’t currently have presence, and will enter the sub-segments with great potential for growth in the future. He added by saying that the company will launch 1 to 2 products every year to expand/refresh its portfolio and increase its market share.

Srivastava further said that Hyundai Motor India wishes to become the country’s leading premium car maker and strengthen its popularity.

When asked about the company’s plans regarding the diesel cars in the future, Srivastava said that as the price difference between petrol and diesel fuels is reducing, the compact car segments will gradually go the petrol way and Hyundai Motor India will be following the market trend.

Including the new Hyundai Elantra premium sedan, Hyundai Motor India’s current portfolio has 11 models, which starts with the entry-level Eon hatchback and go up to the flagship Santa Fe premium SUV.
